2018 Kern County Almond Day
We are happy to announce that our Orchard Systems Advisor, Mohammad Yaghmour, will be hosting the 2017 Kern County Almond Day. Topics covered will include updates on laws and regulations, evapotranspiration, almond pathology, and much more.

8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Almond Symposium)
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Irrigation Management / Monitoring Workshop)
Where: Kern Agricultural Pavilion
3300 East Belle Terrace, Bakersfield, CA 93307
Speakers include: Greg Browne, Jose Bueno, David Doll, Brad Hanson, David Haviland, Themis Michailides, and Blake Sanden. Topics covered will include updates on laws and regulations, evapotranspiration, almond pathology, orchard management and establishment, integrated pest management, and much more.

The doors will open at 7:30 AM and the symposium will start at 8:00 AM. A hot buffet lunch will be served at noon.

The Deciduous Tree Fruits and Nut program consists of both research and education. The research focus on validation of research information was developed by faculty at UC Davis and by researchers at Kearney Ag Center. Experiments are also established to solve local production problems.
