4-H Youth Development
Welcome! Here in Kern County we have more than 30 different 4-H Clubs, with almost 1000 youth, and more than 200 adult volunteer leaders! There are clubs spread throughout our county, as well as an active outreach program, so chances are there is a club or program that will be perfect for you.
If you are interested in becoming a 4-H Adult Volunteer, please go to this page and follow the instructions. Once you have completed step 2, you will be sent an email with additional instructions. If you have any questions, please contact our office at 661-868-6200.
A UC 4-H Handbook for Families was developed to help explain the events, awards, and other items specific to the program. An English version can be found at: https://ucanr.edu/sites/UC4-H/files/271860.pdf. A Spanish version is located at: https://ucanr.edu/sites/UC4-H/files/284570.pdf.

When feasible, all efforts are to be made to encourage and provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities in 4-H Youth Development Program activities. Individuals who need to request an ADA accommodation in order to participate in 4-H sponsored events and activities can complete a 4-H ADA Accommodation Request Form and return to the 4-H YDP staff.
**Any meetings that are located at the UCCE Kern County office are handicap accessible
